A compound sheet which can be folded like a concertina is provided for roadway support. Lagging bars are integrated in the compound sheet at a distance apart and are formed in such a way that it can be placed on the support arches without a direct connection to the neighbouring compound sheet. The lagging bars are bent at the ends in accordance with the centre distance between arches. They are fixed in the lagging sheet in such a way that they cannot rotate, as a result of which reliable engagement in the support section is obtained. The lagging sheet with lagging bars, support arches and consolidating construction material thus produce robust compound support. <IMAGE>
