<p>An optical fiber tap for monitoring a power of an optical signal (11) injected into an optical fiber (2) by a laser (1) is used for feedback control (6, 40) for linearizing an output of the laser. A mode stripper (30) is disposed on a cladding surface (32) of the optical fiber downstream from the laser for stripping cladding and buffer modes from the fiber, and downstream from the mode stripper light (4) is withdrawn from the fiber at a bend by passing the signal through a fibber cladding (32) and buffer (10).</p> |
