The invention relates to an arrangement for production of the triggering voltage for thyristors, two thyristors in each case being connected in reverse in parallel and being arranged in parallel with the making switching contact of a load changeover switch. Two current transformers are arranged between the making switching contact and a common output line, in the secondary windings of which current transformers the rising edge of the connection current induces a voltage pulse in each case. This voltage pulse is fed to the triggering inputs of the thyristors, the conductive state of the thyristors occurring before the metallic contact of the contact pieces of the making switching contact. By means of the invention it is possible to connect the switching contacts without any arc and without blackening of the oil.
