PURPOSE:To remove backlash by forming the teeth of at least one gear of mutually meshing gears with a material having elasticity. CONSTITUTION:An elastic gear 11 is formed with synthetic resin or metal, etc. having elasticity. Each tooth 11a of the elastic gear 11 is formed into an elastically deformed shape by curving same in the direction of tooth trace, and the like. In the meshing place between an ordinary gear 10 and the elastic gear 11, the curved tooth 11a of the elastic tooth 11 is elastically deformed in such a way that the center portion on one side of the curved tooth 11a is brought into pressure contact with the center portion of one tooth 10a of the ordinary gear 10, while both side portions on the other side of the curved tooth 11a are brought into pressure contact with both side portions of another tooth 10a, so as to be engaged without causing play or looseness. |
