PURPOSE:To stabilize the quality of a cast strip product and the conduction of production by setting each heating zone along each roll at the pouring basin part in the continuous casting apparatus having twin roll for cooling. CONSTITUTION:A tundish 1, nozzle 3 and trough 4 are arranged, respectively so as to form the pouring basin part 5in one pair of cooling rolls 6, 6. Further, each heating zone 8, 9 is set along the rolls 6, 6 at the pouring basin part 5. At the time of supplying the molten metal 2 in the tundish 1 into the gap between the cooling rolls 6, 6 through the nozzle 3 and trough 4, the molten metal 2 receives cooling action for the first time at the part of no heating zone 8. By this method, as the cooling action can be adjusted only by changing the position of the heating zone 8, the quality of the product can be stabilized without any change of the unstable factors, such as molten metal height adjustment in the pouring basin part 5, speed adjustment of the rolls 6. Further, the condition of the production is stabilized due to simplification of the operational condition. |
