摘要 The combined energy generation, storage and drive system (CESD) is a novel drive concept for vehicles etc. It consists of a kinetic energy storage system with a gyro composed of high-strength glass-, carbon- or aramid-fibre composite material or of a ceramic composite material. A planetary gear mechanism is connected to the input of the gyro to allow it to be charged up by the RBS, the regenerative brake system, and to enable the gyro rotation to be transmitted to the CESD. The CESD combination system is furthermore based on a hydraulic system for alternate mechanical pressure generation (rotation imparted by the RBS or obtained from the gyro) or manual pressure generation by means of a dual hydraulic pump system (a mechanical hydraulic pump and a second, separate, manually operable hydraulic pump), and on the conservation in the hydraulic accumulator of the potential energy produced and its transmission to the hydraulic motor in order to drive the gyro via the transmission integrated into the hydraulic system. The kinetic energy storage system and the hydraulic system can supply each other with energy while the vehicle is in motion, depending on storage capacities, this being achieved via the mechanical power division (MPD). The manually operated hydraulic pump can be used to generate potential energy when the vehicle is stationary; it can also be used, in addition, during the journey by a passenger or by the driver himself.
