In a mounting for an electromotively driven textile spindle having a shaft which receives a rotor and which has two running surfaces for rolling bearings, the said running surfaces being limited by means of mutually confronting shoulders, provision is made for the outer rings of the rolling bearings, which are held in the seats of a housing, to be arranged in such a way that an axial bearing play can be set exactly, without special production tolerances having to be adhered to for this purpose. To this effect, provision is made for one of the outer rings to be axially displaceable and to be capable of being fixed in a position set in the bearing play.
