<p>PURPOSE:To select and specify an unused address in a redundancy memory by providing the title device with a decoding means for decoding the data of a count value outputted from a counting means and outputting the address of the redundancy memory. CONSTITUTION:A comparing means 6 compares data to be written in a main memory 8 with data written in the main memory 8 and then read out from the memory 8, and at the time of discrepancy, outputs a discrepancy signal and the counting means 1b counts up the discrepancy signals outputted from the means 6 and outputs a count value. The decoding means decodes the data of the count value outputted from the means 1b and outputs the address of the redundancy memory 7. When the main memory of the storage device goes a defective state after shipping from a manufacturer and data to be written in the main memory 8 are automatically written in the redundancy memory 7, an unused address of the memory 7 can be selected and outputted.</p> |
