摘要 PURPOSE:To provide an apparatus which eliminates the necessity of raising the temp. of a desulfurizer and has a small dimension, by providing, besides a hydrogenating desulfurizer, a cold adsorption desulfurizer and switching means adapted for by-passing the desulfurizer. CONSTITUTION:In starting up reformation, a natural gas as a fuel is introduced into a cold adsorption desulfurizer 41 by opening switching valves 11a, 11b and closing a by-pass valve 11c, where desulfurization is conducted without preheating. The temp. of the desulfurized fuel is raised in a heat exchanger 3, and the heated fuel is introduced into a hydrogenating desulfurizer 4, thereby gradually raising the temp. of the desulfurizer 4. Thus, when the temp. of the desulfurizer 4 is raised and reaches the temp. necessary for desulfurization, the switching valves 11a, 11b are closed while the by-pass valve 11c is opened. The fuel by-passes the desulfurizer 41 and is heated by the heat exchanger 3 and transferred to the desulfurizer 4 having a set temp., where desulfurization is conducted. Thereafter, reforming is conducted according to the aforesaid process flow.
