The elevator for a finisher's slab in accordance with the present invention is constituted of a pair of slide plates (4, 5) having a substantially wedge-shaped section between a base (2) and a rod (1c) of a finisher's slab (1) wherein one of the sliding plates (4) is slid relative to the other (5) so that the slab (1) is moved up from and down to the base (2). Therefore, in comparison with an elevator constituted of chains, sprockets, etc., the present elevator does not have any play and can move up and down the slab (1) with a high level of accuracy. Since each rod (1c) of the slab (1) is received by the base (2) through first and second slide plates (4, 5), the present elevator can sufficiently bear a large load and has high load resistance. Since there is no scattering of metal powders or grease that occurs when using chains and sprockets, contamination of an article to be printed can be prevented effectively. |
