Gas-solids absorption or desorption reaction

In gas/solids absorption or desorption reactions in which the solids consist of pulverulent salt(s) and in which the reaction medium contains up to 60 wt. % expanded graphite, the novelty is that the reaction medium comprises a pulverulent solid having a packing density 5-60% of the optimal packing density of the reaction without graphite.
