JOINED BODY OF CERAMIC-METAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain desired joint strength without incurring deterioration in characteristics of a metallic member with heating at a comparatively low temperature, by joining and integrating a ceramic member and metallic member with a specific adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy adhesive agent 3 comprised through graft polymerization of a rubber ingredient is applied to a space between a ceramic member 1 constituting mainly of silicon nitride and a metallic member 3 comprised of nodular cast iron. Then the adhesive agent 3 is cured by heating in air at 150 deg.C for an hour and a joined body of ceramic-metal having desired joint strength is manufactured. Shear strength of the obtained joined body is not declined even if the same is immersed into machine oil of 150 deg.C for 10,000 hours and the joined body is used effectively as engine or machine parts.
