摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To save the energy of a coke oven, to improve the quality, yield, and productivity of coke, and to enable the stable and continuous operation of a coke oven, by controlling the quantity of recovered waste heat and the continuously varying necessary drying heat quantity by a proper combination of heat-exchangers, thereby controlling the water-content of the product to a constant level. CONSTITUTION:The maximum thermal load of a drier is set according to the maximum value of the water-content of the stock coal before drying, the target water-content of the coal after drying, and the maximum amount of coal to be dried in unit time. The necessary thermal load of the drier is calculated according to the water-content of the supplied coal and the amount of the coal to be dried in unit time. When the calculated load falls in a high-load range, the heat-recovery from the heat-exchanger is set to the maximum level, and the thermal medium oil is supplied from the heat-exchanger to the drier by the variable control of combustion. When the calculated load is in the medium load range, the heat-recovery from the heat-exchanger in the wall of the ascension tube is set to the maximum level, the heat-exchanging capacity of the heat-exchanger in the flue is variably controlled, and the thermal medium oil is supplied to the drier. When the load is in the low load range, the heat-recovery from the heat-exchanger in the wall of the ascension pipe is set to the maximum level, the cooling capacity of the thermal medium cooler is variably controlled and the thermal medium oil is supplied.</p>
