摘要 The invention relates to the process and the apparatus for the thermal-catalytic exhaust air purification with heating of the air upstream of the catalyst via a heat recovery system and burner. In the special catalyst system spinel, formed from the components lanthanum, cerium and cobalt, on ceramic honeycomb bodies which have previously been coated by a wash coat, high final purities of the thermal-catalytically purified air can be achieved. As a result, according to the invention additional measures are necessary in order to prevent contamination of the purified air due to overflow leaks from the unpurified air via extraction and flushing air fans. The lower reaction temperature of the catalytic exhaust air purification in comparison to the non-catalytic exhaust air purification makes possible the use of a greater number of exhaust air purification systems which would cause an excessive energy consumption without the use of catalysts.
