PURPOSE:To efficiently absorb energy radiated from the surface of a heating roll, by blackening the part of a thermostat to be heated. CONSTITUTION:A thermostat 10 has a housing 8 and a disc holder 9 under the housing 8. A movable contact point 6 is turned on and off by the action of the movable pin 5 of the holder 9. A bimetal 4 is installed in the inside of a cap 3 made of a metal having high heat conductivity. When the temp. of the bimetal 4 is elevated to a certain set value, it's shape becomes concave or convex, and the point 6 is opened through the pin 5. The part D of the thermostat 10 to be heated is blackened by inorganic treatment, such as zinc plating, coating with black chromate, black oxidized oil shale, heat resistant black paint, etc., in order to enhance absorption efficiency of radiated energy by the part D. |
