PURPOSE:To shorten the axial length of a canned motor by engaging a bracket with the inside of a shoulder formed at the opposite load side of a frame, supporting a shaft through bearings to the through hole of the bracket, and covering the ends of the holes with plugs. CONSTITUTION:The end of the opposite load side of a frame 5 formed by molding a stator core 2, a stator winding 3 and a can 4 with a molding material is extended in an L shape in section to form a shoulder 5d. A large-diameter part 7h of an opposite load side bracket 7 is contacted with the can 4 through a water sealing member 8, and a small-diameter part 7g is contacted with a collar 10b of a plug 10 through a water sealing member 11. The plug 10 is screwed through threads 10a to the threads 7f of the bracket 7. A bearing 9 is engaged with the bracket 7, and the shaft 16 is rotatably supported. The shaft 16 is rotatably supported by a load side bracket 12, a bearing 14 and a thrust 18, and a water sealing member 12c is inserted between the bracket 12 and the can 4. In this manner, the opposite load side bracket can be reduced in size. |
