<p>PURPOSE:To enable multivalue recording by providing a constitution in which an LED array head and its LED drive LSI containing a reference current terminal for determination of an LED drive current, an electronic photograph recording process, and a control circuit and a multivalue image processing circuit built in the control circuit are mounted. CONSTITUTION:An LED array head 1 consists of a plurality of LEDs 4 arranged in parallel and an LED drive LSI 2 which drive, the LEDs 4 mounted on a substrate for heat release. The LED drive LSI 2 applies a current to the LEDs 4, in response to an input image signal(DATA) by means of an image data transfer clock(CLOCK), a latching signal(LATCH) and an ENABLE signal(ENABLE). The LEDs 4-1-4-8 outputs a luminous energy corresponding to an input current IIN which is proportional to an analog input voltage VR as a result of application of the input current IIN and allows recording to be performed. In this way, dots of eight-level density are recorded by the corresponding LED luminous energy, if recording is performed eight times for a single line synchronously with a clock(CKO), thus making possible multivalue recording.</p> |
