In the case of an electrical switch, especially a steering column switch for motor vehicles, having a switching lever which is constructed at least partially as a hollow body and has a cap by means of which an opening in the end of the hollow body is closed and which is held on the hollow body by means of two limbs running along the switching lever, the limbs are intended to be located externally on the hollow body.
