PURPOSE:To obtain a feed having high digestibility, by heating brew lees with steam in a cooker, further heating with an animal or vegetable oil, dehydrating and deoiling under reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:Brewed lees such as lees of low-class distilled spirits or whiskey lees, for example, are packed into a cooker equipped with an agitating element in the interior, heated by vapor pressure and hydrolyzed. Then the cooker is restored to normal pressure, the resulting material is reheated with the animal or vegetable oil properly heated and fed while stirring. The resultant material is dehydrated by small initial reduction in pressure and large second reduction in pressure. Oils and fats in the raw material are deoiled by pressing or with a solvent such as n-hexane. |
