<p>PURPOSE:To make the display of a cutting-in function possible at a sorter used in combination with a copying machine or the like, by, in the case of a sorting mode being selected, discriminating between a cutting-in return sorting and a new sorting through the regulation of its operation time. CONSTITUTION:The indication of sorting/non-sorting mode changes is done by means of a sorting/non-sorting mode indication means 1. A mode decision means 3 inputs the output of the indication means 1 and decides an indicated mode, and information on sorting such as, the number of sorted sheets, the position of a bin tray, the up and down movement direction of the bin tray the number of passing sheets and the like, is memorized by means of a memory means 4. And, in the case of the sorting mode, the indication continuation time of the sorting mode is detected on the basis of the decision of the decision means 3 by means of a time detection means 5, and when a detected time is shorter than a predetermined time value, the preparation of a new sorting action is conducted by means of a new sorting preparation means 6. Also, when the detected time is larger than the predetermined time value, the preparation of the continuation of the former action is conducted according to the sorting information from the memory means 4 by means of a return sorting preparation means 7.</p> |
