<p>A machine is described for automated collection for processing of photographic film from a user and for automated return of the processed film to the user. The machine includes a slot (22) for dispensing a label bearing an identification code to be affixed to the film to be processed and a ticket to be retained by the user and carrying a corresponding identification code; a box (40) for storage of films for processing; storage locations (48) for receiving packages (50) containing films which have been processed, a bar code reader (20) operative during the return of a processed film to the user to read the code on the ticket retained by the user and a micro-computer to dispense from the appropriate one of the storage locations (48) the package containing the processed film identified by the read code.</p> |
