PURPOSE:To start a motor with high torque, by providing a start position detector for detecting the position of a rotary stator when the motor is started and regulating the position of the rotary stator corresponding to an output from the start position detector when the motor is started. CONSTITUTION:Rotor cores 2A, 2B are arranged on the rotary shaft 3 of a rotor 2, while a non-magnetic core section 2C is arranged between the rotor cores 2A, 2B. Stators 12A, 12B are juxtaposed on the inner wall face of a machine frame 10 while facing with respective outer circumferential faces of the rotor cores 2A, 2B. The rotary stator 12A can be rotated through a motor 15 relative to the secured stator 12B. When the motor is started, a controller 60 increases the phase difference between the rotary stator 12A and the secured stator 12B corresponding to the output of a start position detector 80 for detecting the starting position of the rotary stator 12A. |
