In the case of known saw appliances of this type, the workpieces to be cut to length can be introduced into the saw appliance only transversely to the plane of the circular saw blade or at an angle thereto. This is awkward and requires a considerable movement space, in particular in the case of elongated panels. The novel saw appliance is to make it possible for workpieces of all types to be able to be introduced into the saw appliance without problems and with only a small space requirement.
