摘要 PURPOSE:To remove unevenness in display and the electrostatic destruction of an electrode by forming a process for shorting a part of a terminal part to be connected to a driving circuit for a display electrode pattern formed on a substrate and a process for separating the shorted part after rubbing processing. CONSTITUTION:The process for shorting at least a part of the terminal part to be connected to the driving circuit for the display electrode pattern formed on the substrate and the pattern for separating the shorted part after rubbing processing are included in the title production. An electrode 1 based upon an ITO is patterned on a soda glass substrate to form a substrate of a liquid crystal display device. After inspecting and correcting the substrate, an ITO film is evaporated on the terminal part of an electrode 1 by lift-off method to form a conductive part 2 of the display electrode. Then the application of an orientation film and the adhesion of a polarizing body are executed. Then an unnecessary part and the conductive part 2 of the ITO are cut off along a cutting line 3. Consequently, an effect for preventing the generation of electrostatic destruction on the electrode or display unevenness can be obtained without increasing the thickness of a liquid crystal cell.
