PURPOSE:To minimize the power consumption for display by operating a display means synchronously with the intermittent reception and displaying power supply by the display means. CONSTITUTION:Display means 11, 12 displaying the supply of power from a power supply and a control means 6 operating the display means 11, 12 synchronously with the intermittent reception are provided in a radio equipment applying intermittent reception. The receiver 7 is received intermittently and the control circuit 6 operates intermittently the display circuit 11 synchronously with the intermittent reception. Every time the display circuit 11 is operated intermittently, the drive current for a light emitting diode 12 is formed by the voltage supplied from the power supply circuit 5, and the current is fed to the light emitting diode 12. Thus, the light emitting diode 12 is lighted intermittently synchronously with the intermittent reception of the receiver 7. Then since the display means is operated intermittently in standby, the power consumption of the display means is very less.
