PURPOSE:To improve combustion properties, by a method wherein a quantity of fuel atomized for a given time during combustion for starting is reduced compared with a rating, and atomized fuel particles are jetted in a direction extending along a flow direction (revolving stream) created by the air jetted through a center tube in a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:After a blowing mechanism is delayed in motion by a given time, an igniter 4 is energized to generate sparks. At the same time when sparks are generated, a voltage applied to a fuel pump 2, is inputted for a given time in a gradually regulated condition, and as a result, liquid fuel, of which the voltage is regulated, is atomized into a combustion chamber through a vortex type jet valve 3. In which case, a jetting and a flying direction theta of fuel from the vortex type jet valve 3 are gradually or instantaneously changed in linkage with a regulated condition of the fuel pressure. The air, less than specified rated quantity of atomized fuel, is jetted into a premixing region (b) through a lower air jet hole 15 in an inner tube 11, and a swirling rising current is created in the combustion chamber 7. Thus, at a starting time, a quantity of fuel equivalent to one-severalth of a rated quantity of atomized fuel is jetted along the swirling current, fuel is gradually increased in an atomizing quantity in a diffused and mixed condition, and after a mixing ratio attains a specified value, fuel is fired and burned. |
