<p>PURPOSE:To perform mill speed control not changing a speed of a 1st stand by making the 1st stand a pivot stand and supplying a successive control amount obtained by correcting a speed of an (i)th stand to a control means for an (i+1)th and later stands. CONSTITUTION:A mass flow standard of a tandem hot strip mill 3 is determined that in the No.1 stand by making the No.1 stand as a pivot stand. A speed of the No.1 stand is kept constant so that AGC or successive control performed in a manual speed control mode are conducted for later stands than the No.1 stand as the No.1 stand is a standard. Therefore, speed synchronization between a continuous casting machine 1 and the mill 3 is easily performed and variations in tension on the inlet side of the mill 3 are prevented. At a time of changing a speed of some stand to deal with tension variance in the mill 3, a control preventing mass flow variation and not changing a speed of a 1st stand on the inlet side of the mill 3 is performed to keep a balance between the mill 3 and the casting machine 1.</p> |
