PURPOSE:To exhibit the performance of the title ventilating fan sufficiently, by a method wherein the discharging port of the fan is formed so as to have a size capable of exhibiting the performance of the ventilating fan sufficiently and the size of a shutter is enlarged so as to be commensurate with the size of the discharging port while the shutter is constituted so as to be capable of effective the opening and closing operation without any trouble. CONSTITUTION:The frame body 10 of the main body of a ventilating fan is provided with a fan 1 therein and the lower surface is opened as an air suction port 5 while a square discharging port 3, communicated with the blow-off port of a fan 1, is formed on one side surface of the frame body. The discharging port 3 is formed so as to be large enough to obtain sufficient air flow rate for ventilation while the shutter 2 is opened outward by an air pressure upon operating the ventilating fan and is closed upon stopping the same to prevent the counter flow of air from the outside of the frame body 10. A duct connecting device 4 is fixed by screws 6 to the discharging part 3 to connect a duct 7, communicated with the outside of a room. The duct connecting device 4 is constituted of a square part 4a, provided at the side of the discharging port 3 and formed so as to commensurate with the port 3, a cylindrical part 4b, provided at the opposite side of the discharging port 3 and formed so as to commensurate with the duct 7, and a box part 4c, provided between the square part 4a and the cylindrical part 4b and formed so as to have a space capable of receiving the shutter 2 upon opening it fully, while the square part 4a is connected to the cylindrical part 4b through the box part 4c. |
