<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a wood product for holding a texture of wood grain of a natural wood by coating the wood with a paint containing a specific polymer, one type of an inorganic mineral, a nutty grain powder and an alkyd resin, thereby concealing joints. CONSTITUTION: A composition for coating a surface of a wood contains a polymer selected from the group consisting of a polysaccharide, a polysaccharide ether and a polysaccharide ester, and, as needed, a mixture of a polymer obtained from an unsaturated monomer with an inorganic mineral, a fine powder of nutty grain, a vegetable oil, an alkyd resin, a volatile organic solvent and an ester. A printing composition contains a polymer of the group consisting of a polysaccharide, a polysaccharide ether and a polysaccharide ester and a mixture of a liquid-like silicone, a coloring agent, a nonvolatile organic ester and a volatile organic solvent. After the wood product to be treated is primarily coated with the composition, it is dried to remove the volatile solvent. Then, an ink for coating a wood grain pattern is prepared, and the wood grain of the wood is imitated by using a roller having the wood grain pattern.</p> |
