<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the extent of compensation accuracy by detecting the tilt angle of a car body as a function of travel speed and handle operating angle, in a device which turns a headlamp to the opposite direction to the body tilt angle attendant upon its turnabout with an optical axis as the pivot and compensates the gradient of light distribution of the headlamp. CONSTITUTION:Each output signal of a speed detector 1 and a handle operating angle detector 2 is inputted into an arithmetic unit 3 by a microcomputer. At this arithmetic unit 3, a travel speed is set to an upper virtual address and a handle operating to a lower virtual address, respectively, and a corresponding tilt angle is stored in each intersection of a read-only memory connected in a matrix form in advance, thereby finding the tilt angle of a motorcycle at that time by the so-called table research process. Then, this tilt angle is inputted into a controller 6, and a headlmap turning device 4 is driven and controlled so as to turn a headlamp 5 in the opposite direction to this tilt angle with an optical axis as the pivot.</p> |
