The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for shaping a spectacle glass, starting from a raw glass, the region between the circumference of the raw glass and the circumference of the shaped glass being removed, with the aid of a separating tool, by a separating cut being made from separating-cut sections radially from the circumference of the rotating raw glass towards the circumference of the finished glass, then along or parallel to this circumference and finally radially back to the circumference of the raw glass. The aim of the invention is to indicate a method, with which, with constructionally simple means, a finished glass, i.e. a spectacle glass with a given circumference and a desired circumferential glass edge, can be obtained from a raw glass in a time-saving and labour-saving manner. The method is characterised in that the spectacle glass, which is clamped in between two half-shafts, is provided with a number of mutually spaced radial separating-cut sections and in each case, lying between these, a circumferential separating-cut section, and, at an angular spacing therefrom and during the making of the respective separating-cut sections, a finish-grinding is carried out over the entire circumference of the cut-out glass. <IMAGE>
