PURPOSE:To effectively execute the illumination of a liquid crystal display element with a simple constitution by composing a liquid crystal display device of a reflection type liquid crystal display element set in the front aperture part of a frame body and a diffusion panel positioned between this liquid crystal display element and an LED and set to the frame body. CONSTITUTION:When a diode type LED 12 mounted to a print substrate 13 is emitted, the light of this LED 12 can illuminate a liquid crystal display element 17 from a back direction through a diffusion panel 18. Since a fitting surface 22 of the LED 12 is printed in white, an illumination effect is further improved. Thus, an operation mode is determined in correspondence to the input of an input switch 21 and operation is executed by a control part 20. Then, a display to correspond to the operation is executed by the liquid crystal display element 17 in a condition that the display can be easily observed. Thus, the illumination of the liquid crystal display element can be effectively executed with the simple constitution and producibility is improved. Then, the cost of the device can be reduced. |
