<p>The reinforcement is obtained by means of a series of operations, namely: a) heating the base material; b) spraying a resin filled with glass or similar fibres onto one of the faces of the material which has been coated beforehand with an adhesive of the primer type; c) powdering the said face with rock powder of a uniform and defined particle size distribution; d) vibrating or pressing the product with a view to promoting the cohesion of the powder with the resin; e) catalysis of the resin, optionally with heating; f) smoothing the untreated surface by means of mechanical operations. This process is optionally repeated on the opposite face when it is envisaged to cut the material in thickness with a view to obtaining two very thin articles. The process can be applied to materials in agglomerate form with a view to the production of very thin articles making it possible in particular to employ a starting material of very fragile nature. <IMAGE></p> |
