PURPOSE:To remove the end part of an org. layer without generating damaging of the necessary part and unequal film thickness by providing a shielding material and removing the removing part while blowing gas from the non-removing part to the removing part of the part protected by the shielding material of the non-removing material. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical conductive base 1 is so held that the boundary line of the removing part and non-removing part of a photoconductive layer 2, i.e., the org. layer of said base is positioned at the front end of the shielding material 8. A removing liquid is passed to the inside of a rotary axial pipe 12. The removing liquid is passed to the inside of a rotary axial pipe 12. The removing liquid is supplied from the apertures of removing means supports 14, 14' to the removing means 17. The shielding material 8 is connected to a removing liquid housing tank 7 and gas blowing nozzles 5 are fixed between the shielding material 8 and the cylindrical conductive base 1 so as to enclose the cylindrical conductive base 1. The shielding material 8 has the function of a guide shoe and averts the intensive collision of the end part of an electrophotographic sensitive body against the front end part of the shielding material. The end part of the org. layer is thereby removed while the necessary part (non- removing part) of said layer is efficiently protected. |
