PURPOSE:To improve reliability by loading important information on another memory block when it is decided that a fault is generated in a specific memory block as a result of self-diagnosis. CONSTITUTION:The memory block 2a is the set of memory cells with smaller addresses, and the important information of an operating system, etc., is loaded on the memory block 2a. However, when the fault is generated in the memory block 2a, the memory block 2a closes its own set of memory cells, and transmits unsound declaration to the next memory block 2b. In such a way, the next memory block 2b is assigned as the set of memory cells with the smaller address, and the important information is loaded on the memory block 2b, thereby, an electronic computer can surely continue a processing function. |
