PURPOSE:To maintain the inner face temp. of the following nozzle on the necessary level with good accuracy by operating the heating amt. of the nozzle surface from the measured value of the surface temp. of the pouring nozzle subjected to electrified heating and feeding the electric power balanced with said heat radiation amt. CONSTITUTION:A feeding electrode 3 is fixed to the dipping nozzle 2 which is fitted to the bottom part of a tundish 1 and the current controlling the electric power fed from a power source 4 by an input controller 5 is inputted to said electrode 3. The surface temp. of the nozzle 2 detected by the thermocouple 6 which is fitted to the surface of the nozzle 2 is also input to a computing element 7. The heat radiation amt. from the nozzle 2 surface is operated from the surface temp. inputted by the computing element 7 and the arithmetic result is output to the controller 5. The electric power to be balanced with the heat radiation amt. of the nozzle 2 surface is thus fed to the electrode 3 from the controller 5. As a result, the pouring of a molten metal under stabilized conditions is enabled. |
