<p>Resinous enamelling composition comprises 100 pts. of a mixed diol-triol terephthalate polyester, 10-30, pref. 10, pts. of a melamine deriv. (hexamethoxymelamine), 1-5, pref. 2, pts. of an organic titanate (ethylhexyl or isopropyl titanate and 20-80, pref. 40, pts. of a polyhydantoin of formula: where R1 is phenylene; R2 is H or 1-6C alkyl; R3 is R1 or 4-10C alkylene; and n = 20-5000. Gives an electrically insulating varnish for electrical conductors stable at 155 degrees C, with excellent shock-, cold- and solvent resistance.</p> |
