PURPOSE:To impart self-cleaning function, by a method wherein a cylindrical pH sensor part having a measuring window is contained in an inner wall and a float part containing the measuring window as the part of an outer wall and having an outer shape molded into a spherical form is provided. CONSTITUTION:A pH sensor part 7 is cylindrical and the lower periphery of the inner liquid storage part 13 thereof is a liquid communication part 11 while the measuring window provided to the under surface thereof is a glass electrode 12. A float part 20 consists of a spherical outer wall 21, a cylindrical inner wall 22 and an attachment part 23 to an arm. The attachment part 23 is similarily cylindrical and the lower part of the inner wall thereof is provided with a thread part 29 and engaged with the peripheral flange 31 of a holder 30 above the pH sensor part 1 by the thread part. Because the pH sensor part is embedded in the float part and the under surface thereof immersed in a liquid for the sake of measurement is formed as the part of the float part, the pH sensor part is subjected to self-cleaning by a water stream and extremely convenient. |
