PURPOSE:To obtain the title material stable and excellent in mass productivity, by replacing platinum for part or the whole of the copper in a superconducting material of rare earth element-alkaline earth metal-copper-oxygen base. CONSTITUTION:First, oxides of respective metals A, B and C are weighted and ground so as to produce the composition of the formula AB2C3OX (A is Y, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er or Tb; B is Ba, Sr or Ca; C is Pt alone or a combination of Cu with Pt). Thence, the resultant respective powder are vigorously mixed to effect dispersion in high degree followed by heating and pressurizing the resultant mixture to form said mixture to specified shape, thus obtaining the objective superconducting material. Thus, the gas storage capability of the platinum incorporated will result in the absorption of the unstable oxygen existing in the copper oxides, etc., leading to the objective superconducting material stable and excellent in mass productivity. |
