The amplitude of frequency-modulated high-frequency signals is reduced during reversal of the signals. This results in suppression or substantial reduction of interfering crackling noises due to phase angle rotation or a phase jump which are heard for example during VHF radio broadcasts. The process is particularly advantageous in connection with diversity antenna systems, in which phase jumps frequently occur. The invention also concerns circuit arrangements for carrying out the process.
|
