A aq. drug compsn. comprises an aq. emulsions contg. an emulsified perfluorocarbon 5-50% and a dispersive agent 0.5-10%, a lipophilic drug, a chemotherapeutic agent, a chemotherapeutic protective agent and/or radioprotective agent. The compsn. is useful for the sensitization of hypoxic tumour cells to radiation and/or chemotherapeutic agents. The emulsified perfluorocarbon has radiopaque properties and may be used for radioimaging.
