In the case of the production of superconductors having a large number of filaments and a high packing density, the individual elements (3) are generally filled, in a bundled manner, together with a matrix into a so-called bolt tube (1). The filled bolt tube (1) is then sealed and precompressed in order to improve the compaction. According to the invention, the pressing is carried out at high-temperature isostatically (high-temperature isostatic pressing, hot isostatic pressing, HIP) in order to achieve improved compaction.
