ACTIVATION IN A DIGITAL SUBSCRIBER CONNECTION

The telecommunications system includes a line terminal assigned to the station side and connected to a central clock rate oscillator. A network terminal assigned to the subscriber installation and subscriber terminal contains local pulse oscillators. An activation from the subscriber side binary coded information burst activation request is sent from the subscriber terminal to the network terminal via a TDM bus line. This causes temporary synchronisation of the clock pulse signals in the two terminals and temporary activation of circuits in the network terminal.
