PURPOSE:To utilize the capacity of iron exchange resin to the maximum and secure a long life ion exchanger as well as to reduce its running cost, by setting the ion exchanger down to a double-floor type ion exchanger, and charging strong acid cation exchange resin to a first cylinder and anion exchange resin to a second cylinder, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An ion exchanger constituting a resistivity maintainer 30 is set down to a double-floor type, and strong acid cation exchange resin 411 is charged to a first cylinder 41 and anion exchange resin 421 to a second cylinder 42, respectively. If so, the first cylinder 41 removes an iron ion, coexisting together with ion mormate and ion acetate in a deteriorated dielectric fluid and being stable dissolved, and impurities or other cations containing pollutants from environment, and isolates the ion mormate and the ion acetate as an acid. In succession, the second cylinder 42 easily removes the ion mormate and the ion acetate isolated as the acid as well as other anions whereby resistivity is restored. Therefore, the capacity of ion exchange resin is utilizable to the maximum, securing the long life ion exchange resin, thus its running cost is reducible.
