PURPOSE:To cut a rolled sensitive material as it is, without being drawn out of a transfer passage, and take out only the defective portion thereof by moving a cutter into a cutter ingress port formed on a transfer guide plate for guiding both surfaces of the material. CONSTITUTION:A rolled sensitive material 1 is drawn out of a shaded feed part, exposed to a sensitized process in a treatment part on the way of transfer and transferred to a shaded stowage part. A cutter ingress port 19 is provided at the positions of guide plates 14a and 17a and 14b and 17b for guiding the transfer of the material 1, and a cutter 24 is moved in an arrow (b) direction along a cutter guide part 22, thereby cutting the defective portion of the material 1. This cutting work is carried out in such a way that the transfer of the sensitive material 1 is stopped upon the detection of a jam and other troubles and the guide plates 14b and 17b are pressed toward the guide plates 14a and 17a. According to the aforesaid constitution, the loss of the sensitive material 1 is reduced and the treatment thereof is made easily.
