<p>An improved action for a piano whereby repetitive action of an upright piano may be achieved akin to the repetitive action of a grand piano. The action has an adjustable jack spring (13) between the wippen (15) and jack (12), and a repetitive spring (8, 9) between the main action rail (17) and the jack (12). Also the hammer return spring (4) is attached low on the hammer butt (5), the butt (5) having a set off bearing (7). An adjustable set off button (16) acts against the jack (12). In operation the jack (12) is re-engaged with the butt (5) without the key being fully released.</p> |
