摘要 PURPOSE:To make a whole magnet lightweight and compact and to reduce a coolant storage amount by a method wherein parts between support members installed so as to correspond to individual dipole coils at parts on the central side of a whole coil are bonded respectively and parts between second support members installed at parts on the outer circumference side ot the whole coil are bonded respectively in order to form a hermetically sealed structure. CONSTITUTION:The following are installed: first support members 4 which are installed respectively so as to correspond to individual dipole coils 1 at parts on the central side of a whole coil and which support a centripetal force of the individual dipole coils by an electromagnetic force; second support members 5 which are installed so as to hold the individual coils 1 at parts on the outer circumference side of the whole coil and which support an expansive force in a radius direction of the individual dipole coils 1 by the electromagnetic force. Then, parts between the first support members 4 and parts between the second support members 5 are bonded respectively in order to form a hermetically sealed structure. Accordingly, the first support members 4 and the second support members 5 can be used as a coolant container. Thereby, a whole magnet can be made lightweight and compact; it is possible to obtain a superconducting magnet whose coolant storage amount is small and which can be handled conveniently.
