PURPOSE:To prevent a burden from being collectively applied by setting the start date of maintenance in each terminal and executing down-load of a resource in case that the set date condition is satisfied at the time of power-on. CONSTITUTION:A set mode 141, a set date 142 indicating the date when maintenance should be executed with respect to each item, and a normal termination date 143 are stored as management data 14 in a terminal 11. When the start input due to power-on of the terminal 11 is generated, a log-on part 12 connects it to a host device 10. A maintenance control part 13 is started in parallel with this connection, and a set date condition discriminating means 132 is driven when the automatic mode is set. The means 132 takes out the set date 142 and the normal termination date 143 in management data 14 and reads out information of the present date from a clock means 15 to discriminate whether the condition of maintenance start is satisfied or not. When the condition is satisfied, a down-load means 133 is driven and the resource of a designated item is loaded down.
