PURPOSE:To enhance stability, sensitivity, and durability even in wide combinations with a carrier transfer material by incorporating a specified bisazo compound in a photosensitive layer formed on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive layer 4 formed on the conductive substrate 1 contains at least one of the bisazo compounds represented by formula I in which each of R1 and R2 is halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, cyano, or hydroxy, optionally same or different from each other; and each of R3-R7 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, halogen, cyano, or nitro, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body superior in carrier generating performance, high in sensitivity, small in residual potential, high is durability, and effectively acting as a carrier generating material in a wide combination with the carrier transfer material. |
