摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a preionization system gas laser oscillator cable of obtaining sufficient electron density even in the case of a large distance from pin electrodes by constituting the tip part at least of one side pin electrode of the opposing pin electrodes of a substance easier to be sputtered than at the other part besides being easy for the sputtered particles to emit light in the short wave length. CONSTITUTION:The opposing tip parts 18 and 19 of the pin electrodes 15 and 16 consist of a metal containing several % of an alkaline metal such as barium and magnesium, or of an alkaline earth metal, while being turned out into a surrounding gas laser medium due to electron impact of spark discharge generated between the tip parts 18 and 19 of the pin electrodes 15 and 16 to collide with discharge electrons for being excited to emit light. Then, in order to make the light in the short wave length range of the sputtered metal to contribute to preionization, luminance intensity to be obtained from the spark discharge is larger as compared with the former gas laser oscillator so as to sharply improve auxiliary ionization capacity as a whole.
